Joe's Pizza
About This Spot
Stepping into Joe’s Pizza on East Broad Street feels like coming home to a well-loved neighborhood gem where time slows down just enough to savor the simple joy of a well-crafted slice. The hum of familiar conversations mingles with the warm aroma of fresh dough and melted cheese, creating an inviting comfort that’s as much about community as it is about the food. It’s a spot where folks don’t rush, but linger — whether grabbing a quick order or making a casual pit stop on their way through town.
The restaurant’s modest setup and limited seating don’t detract from its genuine intimacy. Instead, they frame an experience that’s more about the ritual of enjoying pizza made with care and tradition. Here, the crust strikes a perfect balance: thin yet airy, crisp without being brittle. Toppings come generously, thoughtful in their combinations, celebrating flavors without overstating them. Whether you find yourself indulging in a hearty pepperoni pie with extra cheese or opting for one of their lighter, house-fresh salads alongside a humble garlic roll, the attention to detail is quietly evident.
More than just the food, Joe’s carries with it a palpable sense of heartfelt dedication. The legacy carved out by Joe himself resonates through every slice, carried forward by his family with evident pride and care. Patrons often come for more than sustenance — they come for that steady, reassuring feeling that this place, while rooted firmly in tradition, remains alive with warmth and authenticity.
In a city where trends can come and go, Joe’s Pizza stands steady as a place to gather, to share, and to remember what great pizza is — a simple pleasure best enjoyed at its own pace, with good people and a welcoming spirit.

Bobby Jo’s Pizza is absolutely phenomenal! The simplicity of the ingredients, the incredible hard-baked crust, and the delicious cheese that just melts in your mouth—it’s perfection in every slice. I always find myself wanting more. On top of that, it feels so good to support good people, and Danny is one of the best. His passion and heart go into every pizza, and it truly shows. From one West Sider to another, I couldn’t be prouder to cheer him on and enjoy every bite. Columbus, this is the kind of pizza (and person) worth supporting!

Edit: I tried this pizza for the first time about two years ago and it is hands-down the best pizza I’ve had in Columbus. There are some places that are good but don’t compare to Joe’s. I moved a few too many miles away to get their pizza home at a good temp but I might be making a picnic out of it soon. Really good pizza. First time ordering it and will do it again. It stood up to the “cold pizza” challenge this morning. I would ask for extra cheese next time. Person answering the phones needs to be trained on how to speak clearly on the phone. You might hate your job but show some enthusiasm when an order is placed.

Absolutely love this place. One of if not THE best pizza places in Bexley/East Columbus. Very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was always a very friendly guy. Very happy to see that his daughters are absolutely kicking ass keeping the place going and the quality the same. Love the thin crispy but airy crust and the toppings are top notch. Homemade meatballs and sausage. Their subs are unbelievable as well.

Joe’s Pizza is one the best pizza shops. They always deliver and they are generous when asking for double or extra cheese for your pizza of choice. When they say “your order will be ready in about 20 minutes”, they mean it. Delicious pizza with a few other items that may be complimentary to your order. Parking just feet away from the business. Friendly service.

Joe's is an institution. If you want a great, crisp pie, this is your spot. It's got 1 table but I don't consider it dine-in. The owner passed away a year ago but it's still his pizza on deck. I encourage the pepperoni, sometimes with sausage. Joe used to be one of the old Tommy's, but when they started messing with the recipe, he bought out his shop ans called it Joe's, so if you like old school east side Tommy's, this is your spot.
